These are a few of my favorite things...

Have you ever watched the Sound of Music? If you haven't, you should. If you have, you understand why this post is exciting. Blue satin sashes are adorable, but they may not make the cut in my favorite things post below! These are 10 of my favorite things, even though I have hundreds. Have fun and enjoy. Follow the links to learn more or purchase. If you have any questions about these products, feel free to contact me or just follow the links below! :-)

Please note that I am by NO means affiliated or endorsed by these products/ companies. Anything posted in this post is of my opinion. Thank You!

#1
 iPad
{you can purchase here}
My iPad. I love it with all my heart. I have the product above in White and it is 3G meaning I have internet connection everywhere, like my phone. The iPad provides me with so much. I truly believe it is worth every penny. It is the only electronic device (in addition to your phone) that you need. I definitely would recommend you purchase one of these.

#2
Michael Kors Watch
{if interested click here}
My Michael Kors watch is my wardrobe staple. I purchased mine in St. Maarten while on a cruise at a jewelry shop, so I can't really recommend a place for you to purchase, but this link should route you to some possible stores. It is pricey, but completely worth it in my eyes.

#3
Lilly Pulitzer Anything
{Lilly Pulitzer}

I LOVE LILLY PULITZER!!!!! I am your preppy girl, so anything Lilly is the greatest. Check out it all and purchase something for yourself.

#4
OtterBox Monogram Phone Case

{The Pink Monogram}

Who said practical and durable couldn't be beautiful? This website has tons of monogrammed items that I love, but these cases are incredible. They give you OtterBox quality for preppy style. Please check these out!!!!

#5
Lu Lu Lemon Athletic Apparel
{Lu Lu Lemon}

Lu Lu Lemon offers high-quality and high-fashion athletic apparel. As I am writing this post, I am wearing my LuLuLemon pants and couldn't be more comfortable or more high fashion. Their attire is durable and is worth the pricey cost. For more information, feel free to contact me or check them out.

#6
People Magazine

People magazine is a fun read! I love this magazine! Another thing I love about it, is that is comes out weekly meaning there's always something new to read. Better yet, my mom's a dentist and gets all the magazine subscriptions to her office, so I always am up-to-date on celebrity gossip. When life gets hectic, lets face it it's often, I collect them all up and place them in my carry-on so the next time I travel I can get caught up.

#7
Boots
Boots pictured are from Ivanka Trump's new line! I want!
{Ivanka Trump}

I love all boots. In fact, that's why I look forward to winter "BOOT SEASON!!!" The boots above are from Ivanka Trump's line and they are my latest obsession.

#8
Longchamp Purses

Probably my favorite thing of all time. It's classic.. it's not going out of style ever. It's on my Christmas list this year.

I own the Beats Studio White and I love them. The sound-quality is impeccable. They are super comfy. Get them right now! Go! Right now! Right ahead!

#10
Sperry's Shoes (J. Crew Edition pictured)

For starters, these shoes are practical and supportive. They are fashionable. These above are pink!!!! I can wear them to school. They go with almost every casual outfit. I love them.

I hope you enjoyed my list of favorite things. Please share some of yours with me. I would LOVE  to hear from you. Please contact me!

SARAH ELIZABETH'S QUOTE OF THE DAY
"A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others." Ayn Rand

I love this quote. We should want to reach our goals for our own benefit, not to feel superior to others.

May peace fill your home,
Sarah Elizabeth
Naples, Florida

Hello Friends,

Sorry for not posting these last days. I have been extremely busy as we have traveled here, this beautiful place, to spend ourselves a "relaxing" Christmas! At some point during the next couple weeks there will be 15 members of our family here. As exciting as this may or may not sound, it can get a bit hectic. I want to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas! I have gotten several early Christmas presents and have some holiday traditions to post about, so that is coming up, plus, my additional Christmas gifts and my family members. I would also like to hear about your products of the year ("These are a few of my favorite things...") for I will be posting that in the next few days! Have a fantastic evening!

XOXO,
Sarah Elizabeth

Happy Wednesday!

***** I know that "principal" is spelled wrong, but this poem is too sweet.

I want to wish you a happy day! With all the trauma and despair going around we all need a little smile. With Christmas being right around the corner, it has made this entire shooting that much more depressing. It has surely affected me. How could someone do something this cruel?

I watched a news program on the television about the shootings that have happened in these past several months. (There have been five!!!!!!) They had a physiologist who talked about the minds of these people. Here are a few things they all seem to have in common: they are all extremely intelligent, they all feel unappreciated for their talents, they want to feel like the "hero" of their world that they live in. It truly is a shame that these people feel this way, but their problem can be solved without harming others.

One last thing about this topic, as I stated in a previous post, I attend Catholic school. Unfortunately, another Catholic school in our diocese had a "mysterious" phone call that lead to the conclusion that their could be a mocking, so to speak, of this terrible crime. They have closed down the school two days early for Christmas break for further investigation. Please keep this community and your society in your prayers.

Anyways, with my goal to focus on the positives I am going to drop this subject for the moment. I have to go pack for my trip in the morning. I hope you all have a great Wednesday!!!!

XOXO,
Sarah Elizabeth

More Ramblings

{source}

 I enjoyed this, probably too much! Ha! Hope it made you smile!

Life in our household has been so hectic lately. I have been sick with flu-like symptoms, even though I got a flu shot. Ergg.... Anyways, school gets out tomorrow for Christmas break, and we are headed down to Naples, FL the next day to see family. As much as I love to go down there, I occasionally wish we could just stay here and stay put just catching up on the small things.

Have you watched the television show Nashville? Living in Nashville, I find it so interesting to watch places I drive by/ see everyday on the tv. I also enjoy the drama on the show, my guilty pleasure. Please comment what you think? Do you like it?

I am wishing anyone who happens to read this a GREAT day!

Love,
Sarah Elizabeth

Christmas

To me, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year. We often times get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season, which can take away the fun and excitement of the holidays.  "What are you hoping to receive this year?" is a common question, but this year I ask you, "What are you giving this year?" (You can comment to both below!!!) Giving is what God intended Christmas to be. He intended it a time to give to our friends and family, but also to those less fortunate. As a Catholic, I am aware of the Protestant and other religions misconceptions about Advent vs. Lent. Lent is a time of repentance and of "bettering ourselves" compared to Advent, which is a time/ season of hope. Up until Christmas and even after, I challenge you to focus on hope. During this time, we focus on allowing God to break into our lives. Check out this two-minute video that explains Advent in a fun way: Video

I am hoping to use this blog as way to escape and share my ramblings.

XOXO,
Sarah Elizabeth
